Say your goodbyes—we have just received news that Café Gray Deluxe will be closing down at the end of the year.
According to a press release circulated by The Upper House, their flagship restaurant will hold its last day of service on 31 December 2020. Opened by celebrated chef Gray Kunz in 2009, Café Gray Deluxe helped establish The Upper House as a popular and modern dining destination, blending Asian and European culinary traditions with seasonal flavours for an elevated culinary experience. However, as much as we will miss Café Gray Deluxe, there’s something to look forward to as well: The Upper House will present a new and innovative dining concept in the coming year, to be fully revealed in spring 2021.
Fortunately, there will be one last chance to take in the signature flavours and fine-dining experiences that won Café Gray Deluxe its many accolades. As part of its farewell celebration, Café Gray Deluxe will present a curated best-of menu that is emblematic of Chef Gray’s lasting legacy, including dishes such as tarragon-scented lobster bisque, braised short rib of beef, and chilled soup of chrysanthemum and pear, available from now until the end of the year. Meanwhile, Café Gray Deluxe at The Middle House in Shanghai will continue to operate as usual.
